The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority’s 2025 Annual Report, Building a Legacy of Conservation Together, tells the story of what can happen when communities, partners, staff, and supporters work together to care for the Niagara Peninsula watershed.
This year also reflected the power of connection with nature. More than 632,000 visits to NPCA conservation areas, along with outdoor education programs, NaturePlus library partnerships, and signature events, helped residents and visitors experience the watershed firsthand. These experiences help build appreciation for the places we share and inspire continued care for the watershed.
Behind the scenes and across the watershed, long-term stewardship remained a priority. From new conservation lands to tree and shrub plantings, restoration projects, and hydrometric monitoring, NPCA continued to invest in the health of local ecosystems. In 2025 alone, more than 45,000 trees were planted, supporting habitat, climate resilience, and the future of the watershed.
Together, these achievements represent more than a single year of work. They are part of a broader legacy of conservation built through collaboration, care, and commitment that will last far into the future.
