MONDAY MARCH 16 – Early Spring Explorers
March brings a burst of energy to the natural world, and we’re joining the party! Campers will dive into playful outdoor challenges, craft colourful creations, and learn how the environment transforms during this exciting time between winter and spring.
TUESDAY MARCH 17 - Snow Scientists
This hands-on STEM-inspired day invites campers to uncover the hidden magic of the winter world through creative building and frosty investigations. Campers will design mini winter machines, test out cool cold-weather experiments, and craft a personalized take-home item using icy patterns and winter-themed materials.
WEDNESDAY MARCH 18 – Winter Wildlife
Campers will investigate the amazing changes happening all around them. They’ll search for early plant sprouts, track animals emerging from their winter hideaways, and experiment with how melting snow and shifting temperatures affect local habitats. Through hands-on exploration, campers will uncover how plants and animals transition from winter survival to spring revival—and how our changing climate influences this delicate seasonal shift.
THURSDAY MARCH 19 - Throwback Thursday
Step back in time and explore the history of the village of Glen Elgin. Campers will learn how our ancestors lived in the winter by making bannock bread, working at the blacksmith shop and exploring our heritage buildings.
FRIDAY MARCH 20 - Winter Survival
Do you have what it takes to blaze our trails in snowshoes and survive winter in Ontario? Campers will build winter fires and shelters, learn how to navigate a map and try out some archery to hone in on their survival skills.
